In connection with
Inspection of Thiruvananthapuram Commissionerate by the Chief
Commissioner of Central Excise on 06.11.2015, the administration had
issued a circular mandating that all the uniformed officers have to
wear uniform. However as decided in the unit meeting of
Thiruvananthapuram Commissionerate, it was decided that the members
would not be wearing the uniform to draw the attention of the
administration to various issues faced by the cadre. The
administration was also informed of the same. The Superintendent
Association had also decided not to wear the uniform on the said
date. The protest was totally successful as no member of the
Association wore uniform on that day. We would like to thank all the
members of the Association for making our protest successful.
